Class Overview
Class 1: We will begin our Flower Essence adventure by introducing Dr. Bach and telling the dramatic story of his discovery of the Flower remedies. Highlighting Dr. Edward Bach as an intuitive who opened to a profound call from Spirit, we will explore the shifts that led him to leave the comfort and prestige of his life as a successful Medical Doctor to wander the English and Welsh countryside tuning into the healing potential of nature. In this first class we will focus our discussion on the first group of remedies known as the 12 Healers. We will discuss how the essences are made and how they work in the body.
Class 2: Our Flower Essence exploration continues with the life story of Dr. Bach as our guiding framework. We will share how Bach’s intuitive development led him to expand his initial system of twelve soul types (and therefore Twelve Healers) to include the flowers he referred to as the 7 helpers. We will discuss the way that vibrational remedies interact with our own frequencies and trace Bach’s journey of discovering each remedy. Together we will practice methods of picking up and intuiting the vibrational medicine of different plants and trees and learn how to match the vibrations of the plants with particular psychological and emotional states in ourselves and others.
Class 3: Our Journey continues as we relate Dr. Bach’s discovery of the last group of essences called “the second nineteen.” Prepared in a very different way than the first remedies, these flowers are generally made by “the boiling method.” This is a practice that is rarely discussed by contemporary flower essence practitioners and holds the secret to understanding the “second nineteen” as remedies not for Soul Type but rather to address the experiences and challenges we face as we move through our lives.
Class 4: In our last class we will complete the story of Dr. Bach as he prepared for his own death and finished and presented his complete system of 38 flower essences. We will have a chance to review all of the essences once more using Dr. Bach’s seven-fold method for organizing the remedies and explore methods of further study. We will share the “39th essence,” the famous Rescue Remedy and discuss other formulations as well as the current landscape of Flower Essence practice in the year 2020.
